34 years ago today July 5th 1976

This little blonde haired blue-eyed baby came into our lives.

We were young and had no idea what it was going to be like being parents, but I knew I wanted her.

With my grandmother.

With my parents and my great-grandmother.

With her dad, long before his hair turned grey.

34 years have flown by.

I won't tell you being a mother has always been easy.

But then being a daughter isn't always easy either.

She has always loved animals (and now has 3 dogs, 3 cats, a couple geckoes, goldfish and a guinea pig).

She loves the beach.

Her wedding day.

Sadly, her marriage ended in divorce, but her ex is my granddaughter's daddy and he'll always be "my son".

She is a great mom.

She can find the most amazing things while thrifting.

She is in college now and doing great

She is very witty and funny.

Some random favorite pictures of her.
The little blonde in the picture with the books is my niece Kaylea.

Rebecca and Sam. Her new love (not my granddaughter's dad).

Happy Birthday Rebecca

  1. Hi Renee,

Thanks so much for coming over to wish me a happy birthday...I've had many replies about others having my birthday or just had one..July is a popular month! :0)

Your daughter is lovely...sometimes we don't find the perfect match in marriage...I know I didn't. It took me 30 years to find my Thomas...he is truly my soulmate and the greatest person and friend I've ever known.

So tell me what your daughter is majoring in?? I admire her for doing this. She will meet "her life's love" one day. Her children are precious...Thanks for sharing her life with me. I really enjoyed traveling down the path.

Oh, and if you collect vintage images please click on the sweet patriotic girl image to enlarge her then right click to save her to your hard drive. Use your graphics program to size her then print her out.

    Have a wonderful day,
    Stephanie ♥

  2. Hi Steph. I'm so glad you came by. She is trying to get into the dental hygenist program. Though one of her English teachers wants her to teach.

I should have posted who was who in the pictures better. Sam is her "new guy". They seem to be great for each other and I like him a lot.

She has just one daughter Livvie. That little blonde cutie is my great-niece Kaylea. We have lots of grands and greats in our family.

Thanks for the tip about your vintage image.

  3. Love these shots of you and your parents/grandparents and your beautiful daughter! I think your daughter and mine may be very close in age! So many years go by and you look back and there you are!
My daughter, who is my only, is not married yet, but has a chocolate lab, will be 35 in December! Wow!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment =)

  4. Hi, your daughter is beautiful! I have two girls, 35 and 31 years. The older one's birthday is 3rd July. I agree time flies too fast once you have children and before you know it here we are with our grandchildren!

  5. When I saw the photo of you holding your baby daughter, I thought that that was how I looked (clothing-wise) when our son was born. Then I read that she's 34 - which is our son's age. I guess those mid-1970's clothes are a giveaway. :-)

    You have a beautiful daughter.
