Forever in my heart.

She lost her brave fight with cancer.

We were there with her to take care of her. She would look at us and say I don't want you to work so hard taking care of me. We would tell her "Momma if our roles were reversed this is what you would do for us." We knew that because that's what she did for her step-mother, her dad and her mother and father in law.

The last 3 words she said to me were "I love you".

I love you momma, you were my momma and my friend. You will be forever in my heart.

  1. Dear Renee,
By some strange quirk of fate, I have only found your blog today via your comment on the Elegant Musings blog.
May I offer my very deepest condolences. I very much relate to how you might be feeling at the moment as my Dad recently passed away in July.

You are right; she will live forever in your heart. Cherish the memory of her last words to you.

    Take care of yourself.
    Elaine

  2. I just saw your post about your mother. I am so sincerely sorry for your loss. My mother has Alzheimer's and I am her caregiver, so I brace every day for her passing. Blessings to you, dear, for being there for her... she is with you still.
