Memorial Day

My little town still has wreckage from the tornadoes
But the flags are flying again which is a tradition I love.




And there was fiddling in front of the courthouse again for 1890's days

Butter lettuce salad mix
cucumbers
bell peppers
cherry tomatoes
mandarin oranges
ham
cheese
dried cranberries
pecans and almonds
honey mustard dressing

Happy Mother's Day

I'm off work. I'm being lazy.

And later today we will meet with some of my family and take my mom out for dinner.

Tornado

As my neighbors continue to come to grips with the devastation that surrounds us I say a prayer daily, thanking God for sheltering us from the storm. My heart goes out to those who are having to face the future without their loved ones. I know homes can be replaced and I know my little town will be rebuilt.

I've seen houses I've passed so often as I traveled places around here that are just gone.

I took money to a collection point but that seems like such a small thing to do.
