Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Yes, I am a bit late with my wishes.

We were so busy 

Cooking for hours for big family meals just wears me out now.

I think next year I need to do something easier.

I did not take a lot of pictures. 

I haven't even downloaded the ones I did take yet.

So here are a couple pictures of our rare December snow.

I have been adding gingerbread decorations to the kitchen when I can find them.

Tonight my house is so quiet since she is back home now.

Her toys are still where she left them, tomorrow will be 

soon enough to put them away

until next time.

Today she told me a little deer sleeps here.

Back to school.

My granddaughter is back in school already 10th grade.

How did that happen so soon.

It seems like yesterday that she was just a little one asking me to read

One more book or playing in the sand

My dad died on Mother's Day. What a bittersweet holiday this is for me. My mom has been gone for 5 years now.

I miss them.

Happy New Year

This was taken on Christmas Eve. Oldest granddaughter teaching the youngest to play Hello Kitty Uno. When Livvie was little it was her favorite game to play.

My trees are down. I took them down before my surgery on December 30. I wasn't expecting to have surgery but had to have my gallbladder removed. So I have been taking it easy, recovering and thinking about all the things I want to do this year.
