Merry Christmas
Of course one strand of lights quit burning right in the center of the tree.
I'm working Christmas Day so my daughter and her family will be here tomorrow.
Merry Christmas everyone.

Another Girl
My daughter just found out they are having a girl. Miss Livvie will have another sister. (Her dad has twins-a boy and a girl).
Someone special to look forward to next spring.

Glorious sunset
I was driving home from taking Christmas flowers to the cemetary and saw this flag on a fence and the beautiful colors in the sky. Had to stop and take pictures cause that is how I am.

Teach me to crochet nannie
My granddaughter spent 2 nights here and wanted to learn to crochet. My mom taught me to crochet by showing me how to make a granny squarge and a rippple stitch. I'm trying to teach myself more stitches and how to "read" crochet patterns. I got a book called The Crochet Bible (great book).
Anyway on Sunday when she got up she told me she dreamed of making loops.

July
June and July were busy months with three trips, trying to stay cool in the heat, canning and freezing things from the garden, working, etc.
I canned lots of green beans.
We had lots of fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, squash and corn. Then the weather got so hot and dry the veggies just didn't do so well.
I did freeze a lot of sweet Georgia corn.
I'm already thinking about next year's garden. Raised beds. Some kind of watering system. More flowers.
The flowers usually start looking better in August. It starts cooling off and raining more.

June
Did you ever notice how much faster time gets the older you get?
We've had 2 days of much needed rain.
I know the plants and grass seem to look better.
Happy little marigolds.
Lilies
My husband plants lots of zinnia seeds in starter kits every winter

Random
We went to Virginia to spend a night and help celebrate hubby's
brother's 70th birthday.
Virginia weather is so much cooler than Georgia weather.
We spent one night in Pigeon Forge and took our granddaughter
to do fun things.
When you're 10 going in an upside down building is a fun thing.
Not being tall enough to drive the go carts yet is not
such a fun thing.
Being grandparents is fun, too.

Learning to sew
I got Livvie a Hello Kitty sewing machine for her birthday
so when she comes over to spend the night
we bring her sewing machine and make things
This weekend I taught her how to lay out a pattern
and cut it out.
It's so fun teaching her to sew and working on little projects.
thank you all for visiting and leaving comments.

A beautiful day
Today was just beautiful
Hubby and I went to church.
The sun has been shining
flowers are blooming
I'm just trying to find peace and happiness
in the everyday.
Things like azeleas in bloom.

Debt Free at last
Four years (and 2 months) ago
I found myself in credit card Hell.
I went to an agency sponsered by the government
and worked out a plan.
Some creditors reduced their interests rates
(one going as low as 2%).
February 10 I made my
LAST
Payment to pay it all off.
What a great feeling.
Now I want to go to the beach
Trip paid for by cash only.

Our latest stuffie creation.
Making stuffies is one of Olivia's favorite activities
when she is here.
She designs-I have to come up with a pattern
and do the stitching.
The tree is down now,
Christmas decos are all packed away,
took me 2 days to do all that.
Thank you to everyone who has come by and left a comment.
Your visits and comments are very welcome.
