Thank you all so much for visiting my blog. I love all your comments.
A couple of you mentioned my books in the where bloggers create post.
So I guess its time to talk about those addictions I mentioned in an earlier post.
Yes, I am addicted to books. I have many books in my home that I can't bear to part with. Some I've read-more than once. Some are still waiting to be read. You know the TBR pile that just keeps growing.
I also have some magazines I can't part with: Romantic Homes, Victoria Bliss and nearly anything by Stampingon and company. I also collect several cooking magazines: Taste of Home, Taste of the South, and Paula Deen.
So here are some pictures of some of the books.
I collect cookbooks, cookbooklets, etc. A couple years ago we remodeled and had this wonderful built in cabinet and bookshelves put in along one wall in the dining room. The cabinets match our kitchen cabinets.
This is my "reading corner".
I have this bookcase
And love to sit in the chaise and read.
And of course this library table is loaded with books.
I have a Stephen King Collection. Can you tell I love King?
I have a box of books in my craft room. And this bookshelf with loads of books.
In my craft room are 3 bookshelves with books on scrapbooking, cross stitch, knitting, quilting, art journaling and sewing plus a few other crafty things. I have magazines on the same subjects. To me the Stampington magazines are more like a book.
Welcome

Outdoor Wednesday June 23
It's the south. It's Hot. It's almost too hot to be outside unless you are in a body of water. We've been taking our granddaughter to do fun things since school is out.
We took her to Lake Winnie.
Don't you think you are too little for that ride?
Hold on tight.
Are you still holding on?
Looks like a perfect way to end the day-WET

My craft room
I missed signing up for Where Bloggers Create. http://mydesertcottage.blogspot.com/2010/04/where-bloggers-create-ii.html
But I think it is such a cool idea. I'm going to enjoy checking out many of the links.
Anyway, I thought I would share my room with you all. I've been organizing in there-which seems to be an on-going thing with me. A lot of it looks a lot better, but I still need to sort through and clear off my table and the top of the storage unit.
I use a lot of things for storage-baskets, tins, boxes, plastic storage containers with lids.
I have so many things I like to do so have to try to store so many different things. I love to scrapbook and I do some sewing. I've cross-stitched, knit, crochet and quilted. I've also started doing mixed media arts. Lately it seems I do more organizing and purging than anything.
I also have some of my many books in here. The most organized things are the bookshelves.
I took a picture of the table, but its a diaster, so I'm not showing it to you until things look a bit better.
Maybe by next year it will all be neat.

Outdoor Wednesday
Do you ever wish YOU could run away from home? Sometimes I think if I have to hear about another problem of someone else's I'm just going to turn off the phone, get in my car and drive.
But that isn't very practical so I think I will just run away to my garden and see what new thing decided to bloom while I was at work yesterday.
The phlox are just starting to bloom (garden phlox, not the creeping kind)
I have lots of lillies in bloom right now. I love all the differnt colors. I think this might be my favorite color.
Or maybe this one
hmmmm, this one is pretty, too.
This must be my favorite
But then this yellow is so bright and cheerful
Maybe I don't really have a favorite.
Hubby's Veteran Rose is blooming. Love this color.

It's a Beautiful Morning
Adding this to A Southern Day Dreamers Outdoor Wednesday.
Really Beautiful. I have every window in the house open to the nice breeze. We usually have such hot, humid days the air conditioner is always on. Its a treat not to need it.
The words to that song have been going through my head all morning....
So I did go outside awhile and took pictures of some of my flowers....
I had to check on the tomatoes and peppers....
And had to water the plants....
And will go out later and start up the grill.
I love days like today, the sun, the breeze, the flowers, the birds, and the wind chimes all adding to the beauty of today.

Outdoor Wednesdays post linked with
http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/
I still haven't figured out the button thing.
Last Wednesday we were outdoors at the park.
Wondering what these were.
And looking at the flowers.
Miss Liv posing on her favorite rock.
And exploring under the trees. We spend more time here than on the playground.
From my flower beds
I love the feathery look of the astilbe.
This is the first year this Jasmine has had so many blooms. A few years ago I was ready to dig it up because every leaf on it was brown from a late freeze. But I saw a tiny green leaf so left it.
It smells wonderful, too.
