can these be made without a cast iron skillet?
ReplyDeleteSusan
Yes, you can make them in a baking dish, too. (I did that when I made 2 batches) just butter the cold dish. With cast iron you can put the cold mixture in the pan that has been heated.
ReplyDeleteLet me know what ya think. I love them and love the way my house smells with them baking:)
Thank you for this recipe! I would have never looked for it on my own but oh, do these sound delicious!
ReplyDeleteWow that sounds a great recipe, thanks for sharing it! :)
ReplyDeleteMmmm, these sounds yummy! I'm planning on having a little bake to myself this weekend so I might give them a go! Sorry I missed your blog party, by the way. I tried to get around as many as I could on the day but it was tough going! But I'm glad I found it eventually. Looks like it was wonderful :) Well, thanks for stopping by my place- it led me here. Happy Halloween!

Oh yum! I am definitely going to have to bookmark this for trying soon! I just bought a few bags of apples (earmarked for applesauce and pie filling), and this would be perfect. ;)

Afraid of butter?! haha! I had to laugh, I try to avoid it as much as possible! Are there others like me out there? :) My mother would LOVE this since she LOVES her butter!!!
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by chinamommy!!
yea, that was my attempt at humor.
ReplyDeleteI really think you could use veg oil and maybe even some applesauce in place of the butter:) Just use the butter in the pan cause it does give the brownies a bit of flavor.
I've actually been trying to cook healthier, I think I will experiment with that recipe a bit.
Casey I'm trying your soup recipe today.
This looks super yummy. I've been looking for something to make for my hubby's grandmother's 80th birthday. She would love this!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm... this sounds amazing! I'm a sucker for anything with cinnamon and cloves in. Have bookmarked for later.
